Protect Our Hunting & Fishing Opportunities In Northern New Mexico

Background:
Sportsmen have been working closely with the Bureau of Land Management and Senator Jeff Bingaman to designate a 303,000-acre National Conservation Area to protect the Rio Grande Gorge and lands west of the gorge; a 12,744-acre wilderness area at Ute Mountain; and another 11,200-acre wilderness area north of San Antonio Mountain (view a map of the proposed area). Protection for these areas will ensure critical winter range for both elk and mule deer.

These special designations for some of our most spectacular BLM lands will ensure these places are protected against public land selloffs, that prime wildlife habitat is preserved, and that hunting and fishing opportunities are here for us and our children in the future.

If you love the great outdoors and want to ensure we have quality public lands hunting and fishing opportunities for ourselves and our youth, please take a moment to contact Senator Bingaman.

Please send a fax now! When you take action, you'll also be entered in our current raffle, or receive an additional entry if you've already entered.

As always, please make your comments respectful.
