ALBUQUERQUE– Executive Director of the New Mexico Wildlife Federation, Garrett Vene Klasen today announced his candidacy for commissioner of the State Land Office. As a non-profit organization, the New Mexico Wildlife Federation does not endorse any candidate for public office.
For the duration of 2017, Vene Klasen will remove himself from any potential conflicts of interest regarding NMWF policy decisions and day to day inner workings. In 2018 he will serve only as a figurehead Executive Director with board members and staff filling in his roles and responsibilities.
The New Mexico Wildlife Federation wishes all candidates running for this office the best in their campaign.
