Tierra Madre Earth Day Hike with Nuestra Tierra

Join Nuestra Tierra for a morning hike to celebrate el Dia de Nuestra Tierra Madre (Earth Day) at Kilbourne Hole in the Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument.

The Chihuahuan Desert is full of dramatic geologic formations and landscapes that hold the secrets to the desert, mountains, rivers, and canyons as we see them today.

In celebration of Earth Day, BLM volunteer biologist Keith Davis will give a presentation on the geology of the Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument at Kilbourne Hole, a rare volcanic crater in the Potrillo Mountains that could be up to 80,000 years old.

Come explore with your friends from Nuestra Tierra and join us for drinks and food at Spotted Dog after the hike! Everyone and anyone is invited! The event as always, is gratis.

Please RSVP on Facebook, and let us know if you have any questions. Rides will be available for anyone who needs transportation. We can also translate any portion of the hike en EspaƱol.
