First Nuestra Tierra Hike in Baylor Pass

It was rainy, cold, windy, and cloudy all day. For a moment, it looked like the first hike of the Nuestra Tierra Conservation Partnership would have to be canceled.

But right when kids from the Boys and Girls Club of Las Cruces and the Nuestra Tierra team got to the trailhead, the skies opened up, the wind halted, and the sun bathed Organ Mountains Desert Peaks in an almost a beautiful, orange light.

The hike ended up being amazing, and the kids loved it – which is what we’re all about at Nuestra Tierra. Check out pictures and a welcome message from the founders below:
