Alan Hamilton, Ph.D.

Alan is originally from Colorado but has been New Mexico resident for over 40 years. Alan spent 5 years
as the Conservation Director of the NMWF and more recently has worked as the State Wetlands
Coordinator through NMDG&F and Ducks Unlimited. He is presently the Executive Director of Rio
Grande Return, and project officer for three Standard NAWCA grants that combined will protect and
enhance 5,467 acres of wetlands in the Middle Rio Grande.
