Public lands are owned by all Americans, and they give everyone – no matter their race or economic background – the opportunity to hunt, fish, camp, hike, and recreate outside. New Mexicans have amazing public lands right in our own backyard, but we are also the owners of land in Alaska, Colorado, Florida, and nearly every state across America.
These are your lands, and we want to know how you use them.
In honor of National Public Lands Day, submit your stories about the time you’ve spent on public lands, and what these outdoor areas mean to you.
Email your 300 – 600 word story with pictures to nmwildlife@nmwildlife.org and your story may be published on our website or even in the Outdoor Reporter.
