Jesse Deubel, executive director of the NMWF, said he plans to have copies of the publication printed when the health threat subsides and they can be distributed to the public.
ALBUQUERQUE — The New Mexico Wildlife Federation has published its Spring 2020 edition of the Outdoor Reporter online.
The ongoing public health from the coronavirus has resulted in the closure of sporting goods stores and other venues where the NMWF usually distributes the free publication.
In the new edition, Deubel describes a full hunting season using non-toxic ammunition. From using steel shot for bird hunting through using a copper bullet to take a cow elk, he took game while making sure he didn’t leave lead on the landscape where it could hurt eagles and other wildlife.
Other topics in the magazine include coverage of the NMWF’s Nature Ninos program, a profile of falconer Tyler Sladen, a story on rabbit hunting and a recipe for Elk Wellington.
